Provence and Riviera Escapade Small Group Journey

Upon arrival in Provence, transfer to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the evening is at your leisure.

This morning, meet your guide at your hotel after breakfast to join your walking tour of the historic capital of Provence. Aix-en-Provence is home to a vast number of 1st century Roman monuments, which you will see during your walk of the streets, admiring the ensemble of 17th and 18th century buildings. Try not to miss one of the picturesque food markets, making Aix-en-Provence the gastronomic capital of the area. Enjoy lunch, including a small glass of wine, before continuing on to a local domain for an Apertif, a daily local ritual for the French people. Bask in the Provençal charm of the vineyard and its fabulous wines before returning to your hotel for dinner on your own. (B,L)

Your guide will meet you at your hotel to take you on an exploration of Provence’s famous cuisine. Journey into Avignon for a leisurely stroll through the delightfully colorful market; intensely colored vegetables and olives, spices, aromatic meats and cheeses, all competing to attract your attention! Later, visit a local domain for a wine tasting and lunch followed by a guided tour of the Pont du Gard aqueduct, one of the most impressive Roman relics in France. Your tour will end back at your hotel in Aix-en-Provence for dinner at your leisure. (B,L)

After breakfast, your driver will meet you at your hotel for a transfer from your Aix-en-Provence to Nice where you will join a panoramic city tour of the famous and glamorous Cannes. Enjoy lunch and light drinks at a local restaurant before taking a walking tour through the narrow streets of Grasse. Lose yourself in the raised medieval houses, magnificent mansions and beautiful villas, including the famous Belle Epoque casino. Following your tour, your guide will drop you off at your hotel for dinner at your leisure. (B,L)

Begin your final day in the French Riviera with breakfast at your hotel before meeting your guide to begin your guided city tour of Nice. Once you arrive, soak in the city’s atmosphere and unique light, earning Nice the nickname “Capital of the Côte d’Azur.” Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing on your exploration with the medieval village of Eze. This beautiful town sits high atop a rocky spur, overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean. Continue to the lavish Monte Carlo for a guided tour of this resort city. Return to your hotel early in the evening for dinner at your leisure. (B,L)
