Buenos Aires - Arrival

You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. A local representative will assist with your luggage and present you with a detailed kit and explanation of your program.

Discover Buenos Aires

First Class: Kenton Palace Buenos Aires or similar accommodations

After breakfast you will join your guided city tour of Buenos Aires. You will discover the history of May Square, the site of the most important historical events and their protagonists since its foundation. Next, enjoy May Avenue and wonder in awe at the oldest residential neighborhood in Buenos Aires: San Telmo. Walk along its cobblestoned streets and discover the antique shops and picturesque buildings. Later, feel the passion of the original Tango in the neighborhood of La Boca; walk along Caminito Street and enjoy the dancers and shops along the way, as well as the famed Boca Juniors soccer stadium. Continue to the modernized city travelling along Madero Port and its exclusive docks, full of excellent restaurants and businesses. You will pass through the Retiro neighborhood and move on to see Palermo and its most exclusive residential area before finally arriving in Recoleta. Once there, discover the final resting place of Eva Peron, “Evita,” in the Recoleta Cemetery. Later in the day, experience the famed Buenos Aires nightlife and enjoy an unforgettable evening at Aljibe Tango for dinner and a show. Surrender to the magic of this city that never sleeps and to the charm of the overwhelming and sanguine music while enjoying the best of its varied epicurean options. (B,D)

Explore Buenos Aires

Enjoy today at leisure and consider an optional full-day experience of traditional gaucho culture at Santa Susana Ranch. Home to the gaucho, or Argentinian cowboy, the humid pampa is one of the most fertile natural prairies in the world and is famous for its production of beef and grains. Only a few kilometers away from the city of Buenos Aires, the natural environment and beautiful landscapes will welcome you as warmly as the gauchos. You will be honored with the typical national asado, empanadas and excellent Argentine wines. The wild smell of the countryside will invite you to discover a charming hundred-year-old rural tradition in the midst of the 21st century. Folk song and dances, equestrian activities and unbeatable shows of traditional gaucho skills allow you to live the traditional lifestyle of the Argentinean ranch through the gaucho, the greatest symbol of these lands. Discover El Calafate

First Class: Alto Calafate or similar accommodations

Enjoy a good breakfast before starting on your full-day tour to Perito Moreno Glacier (entrance included), one of the largest in the world and the biggest attraction at Los Glaciares National Park. You will start by entering the Patagonic Andean forest for your first stop at the breathtaking “Curva de los Suspiros,” the Curve of Sighs, where you will have your first glimpse of the majestic glacier. You will have the opportunity to approach the glacier and witness the grand scope from different panoramic vantages along the catwalk. You may wish to consider an optional Safari Nautico Navigation ticket to learn of the wildlife and marine life present in the deep waters of Lago Argentino. (B)

Explore El Calafate

Enjoy your breakfast and the day at leisure to explore the city or join an optional tour to Nibepo Aike Ranch including either lunch or dinner. (B)

El Calafate - Puerto Natales, Chile

First Class: Costa Australis or similar accommodations

Today you will be transferred to your hotel to Calafate bus terminal to board your bus to Puerto Natales (approx. 3 hours, ticket included). You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. (B)

Puerto Natales - Torres del Paine Day Trip

First Class: Costa Australis or similar accommodations

Have breakfast early and join your early morning tour to Torres del Paine National Park. The road you’ll travel is surrounded by dozens of lagoons teaming with different species of aquatic bird and is contrasted by the small hills where flocks of Guanacos gather. You will visit the Nordenskjold Lake which bathes the mountainside with its emerald green color. Your tour will stop at Salto Grande for a light hike to a beautiful waterfall and Los Cuernos observation point. Later, the journey continues skirting the Paine River until the Grey Lake surrounded by thick vegetation and sharp hillsides. The next stop will be near the Pingo River for an hour long walk that will take you across the river. At the end of your walk, the Grey glacier will appear to conform to the surrounding landscape of hills, forests and the Paine Mountains. (B,L)

Puerto Natales - Punta Arenas - Santiago

Today, following breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to Puerto Natales bus station where you will board your bus to Punta Arenas (ticket included). You will arrive at the airport and board your flight to Santiago (ticket not included). Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. (B)

Discover Santiago

First Class: Plaza del Bosque Ebro or similar accommodations

After breakfast, join your half-day tour of Santiago and Santa Lucia Hill. Santiago is a cosmopolitan city that blends the old with the new. You will learn about the origins of the city and landmarks such as Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Post Office and the Municipality of Santiago. The tour will continue with the Government Palace and you will have the chance to walk through some of the most traditional streets and neighborhoods. Later you will head east where you will see modern buildings and how they have transformed the city. You may wish to take an optional tour to a local winery. (B)

Santiago - Return

After breakfast you will be transferred to your hotel for your return flight home. If time permits, you may wish to take an optional trip to Viña del Mar and Valparaíso along the coast of Chile. (B)
