1

Cape Town - Arrival

Superior First Class: The Portswood Hotel or similar accommodations

Upon arrival to Cape Town airport, you will be met by your local representative for a private transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Discover Cape Town and Table Mountain

You will be picked up from your hotel for a private drive past famous landmarks such as the Castle of Good Hope, the Grand Parade and St. George’s Cathedral, the Anglican Diocese of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. From here, join a dazzling diamond cutting experience as you witness the art and careful craftsmanship of jewellery manufacturing. You will have the option of continuing to Table Mountain, where you can ascend to the top, weather permitting, by the revolving cable car for phenomenal views, including Robben Island.  After your Table Mountain tour, your guide will drop you off at the V&A Clock Tower for the Robben Island Ferry departure. Robben Island, one of the most famous prisons in the world, was where South Africa’s father of the nation, Nelson Mandela, spent 18 years imprisoned. Following your tour, take the ferry back to V&A Clock Tower and make your way back to your hotel. (B) Note: All visitors must provide identification before boarding the Robben Island ferry. All forms of identification documents including passport, birth certificate or driver’s licenses are accepted. Photocopies are acceptable.

Cape Peninsula Tour

Start your private tour by heading towards Cape Point. The scenic drive will take you to the southwestern tip of Cape Peninsula. Meander along the Atlantic coast, passing Sea Point, Camps Bay and the Twelve Apostles mountain outcrops. Once at Hout Bay you can take an optional boat trip to Duiker Island (time permitting, not included) to see the Cape Fur Seals. Next, travel to the Cape Point Nature Reserve with its abundant fauna and flora, and then continue along False Bay with a stop at historic Simons Town to visit the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach, passing the village Fish Hoek and seaside Muizenberg. End your tour with a visit to the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens before returning to Cape Town. (B)

Explore Cape Town

Today is yours to explore Cape Town at your leisure. If you are feeling particularly adventurous, Cape Town is home to one of the best locations in the world for Great White Shark cage diving, Shark Alley, nestled between Geyser Rock and Dyer Island. A short boat ride from Gansbaai, Shark Alley is ideal for those who wish to experience the thrill of getting up close and personal with these giant predators, but who do not possess a dive certification. This optional cage dive experience takes place just meters below the surface of the water, so no diving experience is necessary! (B)

Cape Town - Stellenbosch

Superior First Class: Devon Valley Hotel or similar accommodations

Meet your driver for a private transfer to Devon Valley in the Stellenbosch wine region. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. You may want to consider taking sometime to explore the picturesque valley and endless rows of vineyards on bike or horseback. Alternatively, you have the option to join a whiskey, wine and food pairing tour to sample some of the world-renowned cuisine of South Africa. (B)

Paarl – Franschhoek - Stellenbosch – Cape Town

This tour is all about the country's premium wine destinations of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Your tour starts in the Paarl Valley and its rolling landscape of vineyards. Here, you can enjoy a wine tasting and cellar tour at one of the estates. You then continue to the beautiful village of Franschhoek, founded in 1688 by French immigrants. A memorial in the town commemorates the arrival of these early settlers who helped develop the wines sought after by Napoleon, Bismark and royalty such as Edward VII, the Prince of Wales. Here you will stop for lunch (not included) and another wine tasting at a vineyard. Next is Stellenbosch, the historic heart of the country's wine region. Here you can enjoy a final wine tasting before returning to Cape Town. (B)

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your driver for a private transfer to the airport to continue on to your next destination. (B)
