After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a whole day at your leisure. We recommend taking a sightseeing tour to the Moorish city of Rabat, capital of the Kingdom of Morocco and residence of the King. Explore the ancient walled city, including the 12th century gate of Bab Errouah and the Kasbah of Chellah, an archaeological site featuring the remains of both a Roman city and the Merinides necropolis of the 14th century, concluding with a stroll in the park of the royal palace, and return to Casablanca for the night.(B)

Day

3

Casablanca-Marrakech

The morning will be yours to discover Casablanca. We recommend a guided tour which includes a visit to the stunning Hassan II mosque, followed by a guided tour of Casablanca’s art deco architecture dating from the 1930s and the Church of Notre-Dame de Lourdes, famed for its striking stained-glass windows designed by French artist Gabriel Loire. In the afternoon, private transfer to Marrakech. (B)

After breakfast, join your private guide to discover the hidden cultural sites of Marrakech: historical quarters, bustling food markets, artisan workshops, centuries-old fountains, and more. Visit the Museum of Marrakech to learn more about the city’s history and artwork, and enjoy lunch (not included) at a riad restaurant in the old town. After lunch, your guide will lead you through Marrakech’s maze of colorful souks to find exotic handicrafts, gaze at the incredible variety of beautiful goods, and stimulate your senses with a tour of herbalists and spice merchants. At the end of the tour, join hundreds of locals in the lively Jemma el-Fnaa square for an enchanting experience complete with food vendors, snake charmers, and all manner of street performers. (B)

Explore Marrakech

After breakfast you have a free day to explore Marrakech and the surrounding region. We recommend a journey into the Atlas Mountains to admire the breathtaking scenery as well as engaging with the local Berber people. Your guide will accompany you as you travel past lush valleys, dramatic slopes, and pristine landscapes to the tranquil village of Imlil. You will enjoy a gentle hike to a picturesque Berber village to meet local Berber people and discover their way of life and ancient culture. Savor a traditional lunch in a Berber home before returning to Marrakech. An optional traditional hammam, or Moroccan spa treatment, is offered as well.(B)

Marrakech

After breakfast, you will have another full day to explore Marrakech. We can recommend for you to see the city with a charming horse-drawn carriage, known as a calèche, on your way to Jardin Majorelle, the exquisite garden created by Orientalist painter Jacques Majorelle and later restored by legendary fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent. Relax among ornamental ponds, native songbirds, and an astonishing array of plants from all over the world, all set against the striking cobalt-blue Art Deco villa. Visit the Berber museum which features Yves Saint Laurent’s personal collection of Berber antiques. (B)
