USA - Lima

Enjoy a relaxing overnight flight to Lima.

Lima-Arrival

First Class: Jose Antonio Lima or similar accommodations

Upon arrival at the airport, you will meet your driver for your transfer to your hotel (shared transfer). The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Discover Lima

First Class: Jose Antonio Lima or similar accommodations

You will visit the modern and colonial parts of Lima, known as The City of Kings, starting with the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, before heading to the historic center. Once there, you will visit the impressive Santo Domingo Convent, which will astonish you with its colonial style. Then, you will walk to the Plaza de Armas, where you can take pictures of the amazing colonial architecture that surrounds it. Afterwards, you will go to the Chocolate Museum to have an exquisite experience with Peruvian cocoa before heading to the Museo del Pisco to taste the traditional Peruvian liquor. Upon leaving the historic center, you will head towards the Larco Museum, which houses the incomparable Treasures of Ancient Peru private collection. (B)

Lima-Cusco

Following breakfast, you will be transferred (shared transfer) to the airport to board your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Sacred Valley (shared transfer). The remainder of the day is at your leisure. (B)

Discover the Sacred Valley

First Class: Casa Andina Private Collection Valle Sagrado or similar accommodations

You will head to Chinchero to visit the PARWA Center, where you can appreciate beautiful textiles and even buy some to take home. After, visit the Chinchero Church, which was built by the Spanish in 1607. Continue with a visit to the ruins of Chinchero, where you will find an important Inca center in which terraces and aqueducts were built. Then, you will stop at the Raqchi Viewpoint, from where you will have a panoramic view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Afterwards, you will head towards the town of Ollantaytambo, where you will find the imposing Inca fortress that bears the same name. This place is of great historical importance as it is where Manco Inca defeated the Spanish forces in 1538. Later, descend to the town of Ollantaytambo, which stands out by continuing to maintain the Inca’s urban planning as part of the original city layout, with some buildings and narrow stone alleys. Take some time to tour the town and visit the local market. (B,L)

Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu

First Class: Costa del Sol Ramada Cusco or similar accommodations

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred from the Sacred Valley to the Ollantaytambo station (shared transfer). The excursion starts with a train trip to the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train the best way to start your visit. When you arrive, you will start the ascent to the ruins, which will, without a doubt, be one of your most unforgettable experiences. At Machu Picchu, you can see one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World and take some impressive photos. Then it is back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch in a local restaurant. Finally, return to Aguas Calientes station and board the train for the return journey to Cusco. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel (shared transfer). (B,L)

Explore Cusco

Enjoy the remainder of your stay in Peru at your liesure. You may also want to consider an optional city highlights tour of Cusco. (B)
