Chase the Northern Lights

Upon arrival in Oslo, you will be met by your local representative for a private transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. We recommend exploring the beautiful Oslo Harbor.

This morning, after breakfast at your hotel, you will join your Oslo city highlights tour, an excellent way to discover Oslo! Learn about the city’s history and culture from your knowledgeable guide; admire the main attractions in the city center and the spectacular views from Holmenkollen ski jump. Experience a fascinating insight into the art of the most prolific Norwegian sculptor, Gustav Vigeland, as you walk through the unique Sculpture Park, comprised of more than 200 sculptures in bronze and granite. Bid lovely Oslo farewell as you transfer to Olso airport for your flight to Tromso (ticket not included). (flight not included). Upon arrival at the airport, you will meet your driver for your transfer to Tromso city center.  Tonight, with the help of advanced local knowledge, your guides will find the best area for spotting the elusive lights. During the evening your guide will tell you interesting information about the Northern Lights, both the science and the folklore surrounding them, and will show you how to adjust your camera for the optimal photo. Enjoy a Scandinavian breakfast at your hotel and your morning at leisure before heading out for an exciting day of dog sledding! Say hello to a pack of welcoming and friendly huskies that are ready for action. A professional musher will drive you into the white landscapes, through the beautiful Vass Valley - an uninhabited forest landscape surrounded by mountains - and will enjoy a hot meal in the wilderness camp. Do not forget to watch the sky as the Aurora Borealis might appear at any moment! (B,D)

This morning will be yours at leisure to enjoy a Scandinavian breakfast at your hotel. In the evening, you will depart for a new safari to hunt for the elusive Aurora Borealis. To reach the Camp Tamok in Oteren you will drive through the arctic wilderness – a fantastic opportunity to admire the region of Troms. Upon arrival at Camp Tamok, prepare your cameras; tonight, your safari will take you on a hunt for the Northern Lights. Following your hunt, you will return to Tromso to reflect on the day’s activities. (B,D) Note: Warm clothing and meals will be provided during your tour, however alcohol is not permitted at the camp. Additional activities such as snowmobiling are available at the camp for an additional fee.

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a whole day at your leisure in beautiful Tromso. We recommend visiting Polaria, an adventure center with themes from the Polar Regions. Here you may watch the panoramic film from Spitsbergen and see the arctic aquarium and wildlife. (B)

After breakfast, meet your driver for your private transfer to the airport to continue on to your next destination. (B)
