The town of Heidelberg transforms into a holiday wonderland for Christmas: ice skating couples glide hand-in-hand against the backdrop of the Renaissance castle and the scent of candied nuts and fresh cut pine wafts through the 17th century streets of the Old Town. Finally, visit Baden Baden, nestled in the mountains of the Black Forest, to explore the magnificently decorated streets and sample tasty traditional treats.

Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Stuttgart.

Stuttgart - Heidelberg - Stuttgart

First Class: Hotel Camino Stuttgart or similar accommodations

Take advantage of your free time and discover the city and its Christmas market at your own pace. 300 bright and lovingly decorated stalls, the smell of punch and fresh pastries; all this makes Stuttgart’s Christmas market one of the most beautiful and largest markets in Europe. Later, travel by train to Heidelberg, a beautiful city with a visible medieval influence in its buildings. In its Christmas Market there are around 140 stalls which sell lovely gift ideas. If you are looking for a sports activity or want to do a few laps on ice skates in front of the castle’s romantic setting, you can go to Karlsplatz, one of the most beautiful ice rinks in Germany. In the afternoon, return to Stuttgart by train. Overnight in Stuttgart. (B)

Stuttgart - Baden-Baden - Stuttgart

In the morning, enjoy a train trip to Baden-Baden. This spa town features delightful gardens, large villas and important cultural attractions. Discover Roman ruins and visit Friedrichsbad, one of the oldest thermal spas. Admire the architecture of the famous Casino, one of the most elegant casinos in Europe. Visit the old train station, which has been transformed into a theater and hosts numerous festivals. Surrounded by the mountains of the Black Forest, the traditional Christkindelsmarkt of Baden-Baden, with its many attractions, will catch you in a very special winter fairy tale. In the afternoon, return to Stuttgart by train. Overnight in Stuttgart. (B)

Stuttgart - Departure

After breakfast, if there is enough time, you can take the option to visit the Christmas market in Esslingen, a suburb of Stuttgart. The Esslingen market offers a very special medieval atmosphere. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight home. (B)
