Nestled between the slopes of the Medvednica mountain and the Sava river, Zagreb is the cultural and economic hub of Croatia, and brims with European charm. Discover art galleries, the colorful St Mark’s Church, and the stunning Zagreb cathedral in the historic Gornji Grad (Upper Town) then experience the open-air markets, bustling cafes, and impressive museums such as the Mimara Museum in the Donju Grad (Lower Town). Whether you choose to wander the winding medieval alleys of the Upper Town or the refined neo-classical boulevards of the Lower Town, spend the afternoon exploring Zagreb on your own. (B)

Zagreb - Split

Travel this morning to Split, and along the way, visit the sparkling turquoise lakes, breathtaking waterfalls, and lush forests of Plitvice Lakes National Park. Make another stop at the tiny, ancient town of Trogir where narrow stone alleys wind between houses, palaces, and churches. Trogir showcases some of the finest architecture in Croatia, including the 13th century Radovan Portal which features dazzlingly intricate carvings portraying a variety of scenes. In the evening, arrive in Split to spend the night. (B)

Split - Hvar

Spend your morning exploring this enchanting city, from the formidable Palace of Diocletian and its neighbor, the octagonal Cathedral of Saint Domnius, to the Meštrovic Gallery and charming cobblestoned medieval quarter.In the afternoon, venture out onto the crystal aquamarine waters for a ferry or catamaran ride to the neighboring island of Hvar where you still spend the night on the sun-drenched island.
