Arrival - Alexandria

Welcome to Alexandria! Upon your arrival at Borg El Arab International Airport, you will be greeted by your private driver who will provide transportation to your chosen accommodation. The journey from the airport to the city typically takes around 45 minutes. Alternatively, if you are arriving from Cairo by road, a private transfer will take approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes. Once you have settled into your accommodation, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

Begin your day by visiting the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an ancient Roman burial site with fascinating architecture. Travel to the Roman Amphitheatre, a well-preserved theater that once hosted various events and performances. Explore Pompey's Pillar, a massive Roman column that stands as a historic landmark. Explore the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a modern library and cultural center that pays homage to the ancient Library of Alexandria.

Start your day by heading to the Qaitbay Citadel, a historic fortress located on the Mediterranean coast. It was built in the 15th century by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qaitbay to defend the city against potential invaders. Explore the citadel's impressive architecture, which showcases a combination of Islamic and medieval European design elements. After visiting the citadel, head to the Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque, one of Alexandria's most renowned and significant religious sites. It features stunning Islamic architecture, including intricate decorations, a spacious courtyard, and a beautifully designed dome.

Alexandria – Departure

Check out of your hotel and meet your private driver for a private transfer to Aexandria International Airport where you will check-in for your onward flight. Alternativiely return to Cairo by road.
