Madrid – Arrival – Toledo
Paradors: Parador de Toledo or similar accommodations
Upon arrival at the Madrid airport, pick up your rental car and drive to Toledo. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Explore Toledo
Paradors: Parador de Toledo or similar accommodations
Enjoy a day at leisure in Toledo. We suggest you explore this medieval city on your own. Toledo once was the capital of Spain and is a treasure trove of history where Muslims, Jews, and Christians lived in harmony for over two centuries. The Jewish quarter reflects the history, with its two emblematic synagogues of El Transito and Saint Mary the White, which converted Toledo into an essential center of western Judaism. (B)

Toledo – Granada
Paradors: Parador de Granada or similar accommodations
After breakfast, drive to Granada. On the way you can visit Jaen, famous for its olive oil. (B)

Enjoy a day at leisure in Granada. We suggest you visit the Albaicin Quarter, the Alhambra, and the Generalife Gardens. (B)

Granada – Ronda
Paradors: Parador de Ronda or similar accommodations
After breakfast, drive to Ronda. On the way you can stop to visit Antequera, a wealthy town, both culturally and economically. Its historic center is made up of more than 50 monuments and buildings worth seeing. (B)

Ronda – Carmona
Paradors: Parador de Carmona or similar accommodations
Enjoy a day at leisure in Ronda, famous for its dramatic escarpments and views, and also as the birthplace of modern bullfighting. In the evening, drive to Carmona. (B)

Carmona – Merida
Paradors: Parador de Merida or similar accommodations
After breakfast, drive to Merida. On the way, you can stop visiting Zafra, a city that was located on the strategic “Via de la Plata” (Silver Route) in Roman Hispania. The town is dominated by the 15th-century Alcazar (fortress). In the evening, you can explore Merida, heir to a magnificent Roman legacy. The theater, the amphitheater, and the Temple of Diana make this city the ancient capital of Roman Lusitania, one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in Spain, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (B)

Merida – Madrid – Return
Drive to the Madrid airport (4 hours) and drop off your rental car before for your return flight home. (B)
